Am Augustine Yiga an Elder at 72 years, the Director and Co Founder of Non Profit by the names of Training Of Rural Women in Uganda - TORUWU. Founded way back in 2000.

We felt saddened to realize that in our sub county of 53 villages. There was no Organization offering services (physiotherapy clinics, orthopedic appliances, nutrition e.t.c|) to children with disabilities thus we got forced to give in a helping hand. As you might be aware in African setting such children are always looked upon as curses, we further encounter this by offering awarenes workshops, home visits, e.t.c. to make people realise that disability is not inability.  Currently, our services cover just 102 families in Nsangi Sub county.
