Convalescent Aid Society

Category

The Convalescent Aid Society provides our communities with free loans of durable medical equipment for personal use to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

Durable medical equipment (DME) is any medical device that can be used at home repeatedly, and that is medically necessary for the patient.

Since CAS was founded in 1923, the agency has expanded from serving the residents of Pasadena to addressing the needs of those throughout the greater San Gabriel Valley, Glendale, and Burbank. CAS is the only program of its kind and scope in Southern California.

Over 14,000 clients are currently relying on CAS for DME which allows them to stay mobile, return home safely from the hospital and remain as independent as possible.
